Steve joined the PP's in
1989 when he moved to the area. His initial interest lay backstage
and he started by getting heavily involved with stage lighting.
His plan was to gradually
make his way onto the stage by way of walk on and bit parts, but (as
often happens with ten plays a year to cast) he was called upon to
make up a cast of three in the thriller "Dangerous
Obsession" in October 1990.
Since then he has been
involved in numerous plays either as a member of the cast or in one
of the many backstage roles.
He has also taken several
"extra" roles in local T.V. and film productions such as
"Spender", "Firm Friends" and "Purely Belter".
In recent years he has
taken a greater interest in Directing, and has directed
"Neville's Island" (by Tim Firth Oct.98), "Trivial
Pursuits" (by Frank Vickery Dec.99), "The Hand & The
Word" (Animation April 2000), and "Straight &
Narrow" (by Jimmy Chinn Feb.02). He is also married to fellow
member Sue Hingley. |
