The Progressive Players are the
resident company of players at the Gateshead Little Theatre.
The company was formed in 1920 and
moved into the theatre after it was built in 1943. The Progressive
Players are rightly proud of a long and successful history and still
perform ten plays each year to enviable audience numbers.
