Mike has been
a member of the Progressive Players for about twenty years, and despite
originally joining to do sound, he has taken many acting roles as well
as doing almost all the jobs related to the production of a play,
particularly lights and sound. He has also had a long involvement in the
management of the theatre, and is currently chairman of the
Progressive Players.
Mike’s more
recent acting roles have included The Day they Kidnapped the Pope,
Travels with my Aunt and When We are Married. He also
produced Biting the Bullet and Summer End.
Mike finds
that the theatre can be a great relaxation after a hard day at work,
although both can get pretty fraught at times! Mike’s family are
regulars at the Little Theatre plays, and his children Matthew and Sally
are also members now.
