John found the Progressive Players in 1999 after his release from the Massachusetts home for the bewildered. He appeared first as "Norman" in "On Golden Pond" and since then he has particularly enjoyed "That Good Night", "An Experiment with an Air Pump" and "Noises Off" John has had two of his own plays performed by groups he belonged to before moving to the north east and hopes to write one for the Progressive Players. John made his directorial debut at the theatre with the drama "Taking Sides" in February 2003 He is particularly proud of his bronze medal in the British All Comers "Mornington Crescent" championships of 1976.
