Jim joined the Progressive
Players in 1970, initially helping backstage, designing and painting
sets for numerous productions.
He went on to play acting
roles, as the Witch Boy in The Ballad of Barbara Allen, Felix in the
Odd Couple, Sakini in the Teahouse of the August Moon, and the
dresser in The Dresser.
He has directed several
plays, including Noel Coward's Private Lives, Educating Rita, and
Everybody Loves Opal.
After 12 years 'resting' , he
has returned to active service in the theatre, and his latest
involvement was directing
