Janet originally joined the Progressive Players in 1963, left the area for some years and returned to take up where she left off. As a director, her last production was "A Respectable Funeral" in June 2008.   Other recent productions include "Daisy Pulls It Off" in May 2005, "Feed" in June 2004 and "Generations Apart" in March 2004. Janet doesn't often appear on stage but thoroughly enjoyed herself playing the drunken charwoman in "When We Are Married" in February 2005.   She has been known to prompt, sell ice creams and programmes and even stage manage!   She also organises art exhibitions in No.4 coffee lounge.
